However, despite the lower collections, "The Diplomat" has surpassed John's previous film, "Vedaa."
"The Diplomat's" Five-Day Earnings
Inspired by a true story, the film opened with ₹4.03 crore on its first day. It collected ₹4.68 crore on the second day, ₹4.74 crore on the third, and a mere ₹1.53 crore on the fourth. On the fifth day, the film earned only ₹1.40 crore, its lowest collection so far. In total, "The Diplomat" has grossed ₹16.38 crore in five days.
"The Diplomat" Outperforms "Vedaa"
Despite its lower-than-expected business, "The Diplomat" has outperformed "Vedaa." John's previous film, "Vedaa," collected a total of ₹15.5 crore in five days. Therefore, while "The Diplomat" hasn't performed as expected, it has still fared better than "Vedaa."
