Hindu organizations in Ajmer demand CBI probe into sexual assault case involving five minor girls, holding protests and demanding investigations into madrasas.

Rajasthan: In Ajmer, Rajasthan, Hindu organizations staged a protest on Saturday demanding a CBI investigation into the sexual assault case involving five minor girls. The protest march started from Gandhi Bhavan in Bijainagar and culminated in a sit-in outside the Ajmer Collectorate. Markets in the surrounding area were also closed during the protest.

BJP leaders and Hindu organizations participate

The protest saw participation from BJP MLA Anita Bhadel (Ajmer South), Ajmer Municipal Corporation's Deputy Mayor Neeraj Jain, leaders from the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and other Hindu organizations, and members of market associations. All participants demanded justice for the affected families and an impartial investigation into the case.

Demand for investigation into madrasas and hookah bars

Protesters demanded an investigation into the registration of madrasas in Ajmer and strict action against hookah bars, which have become centers of alleged immoral activities. Communal tension has risen in the area following the revelation of the alleged sexual assault and forced conversion attempts of five minor girls in Beawar district. Ten individuals have been arrested so far in this case, including three minor girls who were apprehended.

Protest outside the Collectorate

During the protest, some individuals climbed onto barricades erected outside the Collectorate. In some areas, tires of tempos were deflated and passengers were made to disembark, causing panic in the area for a short time.

Memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister

Representatives of the Sarva Hindu Samaj submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot through the Collector. The memorandum alleges that some youths have formed a group involved in "love jihad," targeting schoolgirls. It claims that the accused initially lure girls into relationships, then blackmail them using gifts like mobile phones. The memorandum alleges not only sexual assault but also forced conversions.

Demand for investigation of accused's mobile phones

Ajmer Municipal Corporation's Deputy Mayor Neeraj Jain stated that the accused blackmailed the girls, subjecting them to mental and physical torture, and threatening to kill them and their families. He demanded a CBI investigation into the case and a thorough investigation of all the accused's mobile phones.

How the case came to light

Bijainagar police filed three FIRs on February 16 based on the families' complaints. Investigating officer Sher Singh stated that among the arrested accused, eight are Muslim and two are Hindu, including a cafe owner. Three minor accused belong to the Muslim community. The entire case came to light when one of the victims stole ₹2000 from her father, intending to give it to one of the accused. Investigations revealed a Chinese mobile phone through which she communicated with the accused.

Notice issued for illegal occupation

A new turn has emerged in the case. The Bijainagar municipality has issued notices to the families of the accused, the Jama Masjid, and a 100-year-old graveyard for illegal occupation. Police and administration are actively investigating the case considering its gravity.
