BJP to Elect New State Presidents in March, National President Thereafter; UP BJP May Get New President Within 10 Days.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will elect its new national president in March. This election will be held after the state units complete their elections. The party had planned to complete this process in January, but the national president's election has been delayed due to assembly elections and organizational elections in various states.

What Does the BJP Constitution Say?

According to the BJP constitution, at least 50 percent of the state units must complete their president elections for the national president's election. Currently, out of 36 states, only 12 have completed their elections. Therefore, to facilitate the national president's election, the party is now preparing to quickly complete the election process in the remaining states.

How is the National President Appointed?

In the BJP, electors are chosen for the national president, similar to the state presidents. Elections in all states are crucial for this. Considering the current situation, electing state presidents in at least six states is necessary to expedite the national leadership election.

UP BJP to Get New State President Soon

According to BJP sources, it is expected that the state president elections will be completed within the next 10 days in major states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Haryana. There is speculation that Bihar's current state president may continue in their role.

In Uttar Pradesh, the district-level president elections are likely to be completed within the next three to four days, after which the state president will be appointed. It is expected that Uttar Pradesh will have a new state president within the next 7 to 10 days.

JP Nadda's Extended Term

Currently, JP Nadda is the national president of the BJP. He was first appointed as the acting national president on June 17, 2019. Later, on January 20, 2020, he was officially elected as the party's 11th national president. Under Nadda's leadership, the party has fought and won many important elections.

BJP's Victories Under JP Nadda's Leadership

Under JP Nadda's leadership, the Bharatiya Janata Party contested elections in 35 states and won in 16. Furthermore, the BJP achieved remarkable success in the Lok Sabha elections and returned to power.

Major Announcements Imminent

With the formation of the new BJP leadership, significant changes within the organization are expected. After the election of the new national president, the party will further accelerate its preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Now it remains to be seen who will be the party's next national president and what success they will achieve in the upcoming elections.
