New Delhi: Delhi Police are planning to intensify their efforts to monitor organized crime and gangsters operating from prisons. A meeting of senior officers was held at the Delhi Police headquarters on Saturday in this regard. This meeting followed a high-level review meeting on law and order by Union Home Minister Amit Shah a day earlier. The Home Minister's meeting was attended by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood, and Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan.
Special Focus on Gangster Networks
According to sources, Delhi Police will now keep a close watch on the activities of notorious gangsters based in India and abroad. A special plan has been devised under this operation to dismantle the networks of Anmol Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, Arsh Dalla, Himanshu Bhau, Lucky Patiala, Jagga Dhurokot, and other criminals. Furthermore, close surveillance will be maintained on notorious criminals lodged in jail, including Kaushal Chaudhary and Neeraj Bawana.
Gangsters' Accomplices to be Under Police Scrutiny
Delhi Police are also now identifying individuals who are directly or indirectly assisting these gangsters. According to a senior officer, minors associated with gangsters will also be monitored, and it is recommended that legal action be taken against them as it would be against adults. Simultaneously, close monitoring of these criminals' activities on social media will be undertaken to immediately detect any suspicious activity.
Increased Security in Delhi; 24-Hour Patrols to be Strengthened
The meeting decided to increase 24-hour police patrols in all major areas of the city. Security will be further tightened, especially to curb snatching, robbery, and crimes against women. The Delhi Police Commissioner and other senior officers have decided to take strict action against organized criminals under this operation. Investigations into illegal immigration will be expedited, and special national and international-level operations will be launched to break the drug supply chain.
A senior officer stated, "We will take every possible step to rid Delhi of the influence of organized crime and gangsters. This operation is a significant initiative towards eliminating criminals and providing a secure environment for the public."
