A serious case has been filed against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, former Indian Institute of Science (IISc) director Balaram, and 16 others. The complainant, Durgapa, a faculty member at IISc's Centre for Sustainable Technology, alleges he was falsely implicated in a honey trap case.
New Delhi: Karnataka police have filed a case under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, former IISc director Balaram, and 16 others. The case was registered at the Sadashivanagar police station in Bengaluru, following the direction of the 71st City Civil and Sessions Court (CCH).
This action followed a complaint by Durgapa, a faculty member at IISc's Centre for Sustainable Technology and a member of the tribal Bowy community, who alleges he was falsely implicated in a honey trap case and subjected to discrimination and harassment.
Allegations against IISc?
The complainant, Durgapa, a member of the tribal Bowy community and a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc)'s Centre for Sustainable Technology, has made serious allegations. He claims he was falsely implicated in a honey trap case in 2014, resulting in the loss of his job. Durgapa also alleges he was subjected to verbal abuse and threats during this period.
The accused named in the case include Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, former IISc director Balaram P, and other prominent individuals such as Govindan Rangarajan, Sridhar Warrier, Sandhya Visvesvaraih, Hari KVS, Dasappa, Hemalata Mishi, Chattopadhyay K, Pradeep D Savakar, and Manoharan.
This case has taken a serious turn, involving allegations of injustice against a member of the tribal community and accusations of discrimination and harassment against individuals associated with prestigious institutions. The case is currently with the Karnataka police and was registered on the court's orders.
