New Delhi: According to information shared by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the Saudi Arabian government has allowed the reopening of the Hajj portal for 10,000 more Indian pilgrims. The Ministry stated that the Saudi administration has instructed CHGOs to complete the process without delay to ensure timely arrangements for all pilgrims.

Government of India's Initiative Brings Relief

The Ministry of Minority Affairs announced on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia has agreed to reopen the Hajj portal for Combined Hajj Group Operators (CHGOs). This initiative comes after recent reports that approximately 52,000 Indian pilgrims might be denied Hajj due to the Saudi government canceling quotas allocated to some private tour operators in the Mina area.

1.75 Lakh Hajj Pilgrims from India in 2025

According to the Indian government's Hajj policy, 70% of this quota will be allocated through the Hajj Committee of India (HCI), and the remaining 30% will be given to Private Hajj Operators (PHGOs). The reopening of the Nusuk portal ensures that 10,000 additional Indian pilgrims will now be able to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage.
