Political tensions are rising again in Haryana. A heated verbal exchange has erupted between Chief Minister Nayab Saini (CM Nayab Saini) and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Chandigarh: Political temperatures in Haryana are escalating. A sharp war of words has begun between Chief Minister Nayab Saini and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Hooda is criticizing the BJP government's development record, while Saini is using statistics to counter these claims and highlight his government's achievements.
Hooda's Allegations – ‘BJP Government Lacks Major Projects’
Speaking to the media at his residence on Friday, Bhupinder Singh Hooda launched a scathing attack on the current government. He stated that during the BJP's ten years in power, Haryana has witnessed no significant industrial growth, new universities, or medical colleges. Hooda claimed, "The state lacks major projects and investment remains stagnant. Unemployment and crime are rampant, yet the government remains inactive."
He bly criticized the government, particularly citing the paper leak scandal and mining scams. Hooda alleged irregularities in all aspects, from board examinations to recruitment tests, claiming that no effective action has been taken.
Chief Minister Saini's Rebuttal – ‘Haryana is Forging a New Chapter of Development’
Chief Minister Nayab Saini responded to Hooda's allegations by highlighting the government's successes. He asserted that under BJP rule, Haryana has become a preferred destination for domestic and international investors. He stated that 7.66 lakh new MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) have been established, creating employment for 39 lakh people. Furthermore, he mentioned the ongoing plan to establish a medical college in each district, with 79 new colleges already opened, 30 of which are specifically for women.
Claiming to Eradicate Corruption Through E-Governance
CM Saini stated that the government has implemented an e-governance model to curb corruption. Government schemes and services have been linked to the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, enhancing transparency. He claimed, "1.71 lakh young people have been given government jobs without any irregularities. Online transfers, educated Panchayats, and the success of the Antyodaya Abhiyan have made Haryana a model for the entire country."
Congress's Major Plan – Preparing to Corner the Government in the Assembly Session
Hooda made it clear that Congress is fully prepared to corner the government in the Assembly's budget session on issues of unemployment, corruption, paper leaks, and law and order. The political rivalry between the BJP and Congress is intensifying in the run-up to the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. While the BJP is aiming to highlight its developmental work, the Congress is focused on exposing the government's alleged failures.
