JP Nadda targets Congress and Communists on Tripura BJP government's second anniversary, claiming a shift from violence and crime to development and security.
JP Nadda: At a public rally on Sunday marking the second anniversary of the BJP-led coalition government in Tripura, BJP national president JP Nadda launched a scathing attack on previous administrations. He held the Congress and Communist parties responsible for the violence and lawlessness that plagued the state. Nadda stated that Tripura was once a hub of crime and political violence, witnessing daily murders, assaults, and sexual offenses. He claimed that women found it difficult to venture out, but now, under the BJP government, the state is safer and on the path to development.
'Tripura's era of violence replaced by peace and progress'
In his address, JP Nadda said, "Remembering the bad old days will make you appreciate the good days even more." He alleged that the previous Communist government, in collusion with the Congress, had transformed Tripura into a hotbed of violence to maintain its grip on power. Targeting opposition parties, he stated that they appeared as enemies from the outside but were friends from within, and their lust for power had plunged Tripura into chaos.
'We believe in service, not power'
Highlighting the achievements of the BJP government, Nadda stated that the people of Tripura have repeatedly shown their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manik Saha's leadership. He said, "We are public servants; we are in politics not for power but for the service of the people. Our schemes are not just on paper but implemented on the ground, directly benefiting the common man."
'Emphasis on girls' education and empowerment'
Referring to Tripura government schemes, JP Nadda mentioned that under the Balika Samridhi Yojana, BPL families will receive a ₹50,000 bond upon the birth of a daughter, which will mature to ₹10 lakh by the time she turns 18. Furthermore, under the Kanya Aatmanirbhar Yojana, 140 meritorious girl students will be provided with scooters. He praised Chief Minister Manik Saha, stating that these schemes will empower girls and secure their future.
'Tripura's support for BJP'
Chief Minister Manik Saha, several senior BJP leaders, and thousands of party workers were present on the occasion of the second anniversary of the BJP-led government in Tripura. Nadda stated that under BJP leadership, Tripura is progressing towards development, with strengthened law and order, and the public benefiting from government policies. He expressed confidence that Tripura will develop even faster in the future and that the BJP will continue to receive the people's support.
