No Weddings for Four Months After June

While some auspicious wedding dates are available in June after May, there will be no auspicious dates from July to October. This is due to Devshyani Ekadashi, which falls at the end of June this year. From this date, Lord Vishnu enters a four-month yogic sleep, known as Chaturmas. During this period, no auspicious events like weddings, housewarmings, or mundan ceremonies are performed.

After Chaturmas ends, Lord Vishnu awakens on Dev Uthani Ekadashi. Auspicious events like weddings resume thereafter. Fourteen auspicious wedding dates are available in November, and three in December. Those unable to marry in May or June can prepare for November or December.
