Police arrested Prasun Dey on Monday night. According to authorities, after his discharge from the hospital, he was brought to Tangra police station. During lengthy questioning, inconsistencies in his statements were discovered, leading to his arrest.

Suicide Attempt Leads to Case Revelation

The case came to light on February 19th when Prasun Dey and his elder brother, Pronoy Dey, were involved in a car accident on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. This incident is being treated as a suicide attempt. Both were admitted to Nil Ratan Sarkar Medical College after the accident. Meanwhile, police received information about three bodies found at Prasun Dey's residence. Upon arriving, police discovered the bodies of his wife, another woman, and a girl.

Post-Mortem Report Confirms Murder

The post-mortem report, released on February 20th, confirmed that all three deaths were homicides. Following this, the police investigation progressed, and on February 25th, they announced that no outsider was involved in the killings. Currently, the police are investigating the circumstances and motive behind the murders.
