Questions Posed to Rabri, Misa, and Tej Pratap
Earlier, Rabri Devi was questioned about when and how she first met the individuals from whom land was purchased. Following the questioning, Misa Bharti described it as politically motivated, stating that investigations by central agencies are intensifying as Bihar elections approach. Tej Pratap Yadav, on the other hand, declined to comment on the questioning.
What is the 'Land for Jobs' Case?
This scam allegedly took place between 2004 and 2009, when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister in the central government. The allegation is that during this period, land was taken from candidates in exchange for granting them Group D jobs in the railways, or pressure was exerted to purchase their land at significantly undervalued prices. According to the chargesheet filed by the CBI, there were violations of rules in the recruitment process, and the direct involvement of Lalu Yadav and his family has been found.
Previously, on January 20, 2024, the ED questioned Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav in Delhi for approximately 10 hours. During this time, Lalu Yadav was asked more than 50 questions. Sources suggest that Lalu Yadav became uncomfortable and agitated several times during the questioning. Tejashwi Yadav was also questioned for about 11 hours on January 30.
