Lucknow: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) suffered a significant setback when its supremo, Mayawati, removed her nephew, Akash Anand, from all party positions. This unexpected decision has left many BSP workers confused and disgruntled with the party leadership. Meanwhile, Congress leader and former MP, Udit Raj, has made a significant political move by openly inviting BSP workers to join the Congress.

Udit Raj's Allegations – BSP's Lack of Mission

Criticizing the current state of the BSP, Udit Raj stated that Mayawati's decisions have weakened the party. He alleged that the BSP lacks a coherent agenda for Dalits and backward classes. According to Udit Raj, "The BSP is no longer fighting for constitutional protection, nor is it taking any concerted steps for the rights of Dalits and OBCs. Furthermore, the party has become inactive against privatization and social injustice."

Recognizing the growing discontent among BSP workers following Akash Anand's dismissal, Udit Raj has openly invited them to join the Congress. He stated, "Those dedicated to the Bahujan movement have no future in the BSP. The Congress is the only party fighting for the rights of Dalits, backward classes, and the deprived."

Accusations of Weakening the Bahujan Movement Against Mayawati

This is not the first time Udit Raj has questioned Mayawati's policies. Previously, he accused the BSP supremo of weakening the Bahujan movement. Udit Raj said, "My aim has always been to guide the Bahujan Samaj towards the right path. The time has come for BSP workers to join the Congress and strengthen the fight for social justice."

The situation within the BSP is rife with discontent following Akash Anand's removal. If the Congress effectively capitalizes on this opportunity, it could deliver a significant blow to the BSP. Now, it remains to be seen how Mayawati addresses this political challenge and what steps she takes to retain BSP workers.
