Modi Inaugurates SOUL Leadership Conclave, Emphasizing India's Leadership Development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that collaborating with and guiding future leaders is crucial for their development. He described the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) as a significant step in India's journey towards becoming a developed nation.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first edition of the SOUL Leadership Conclave at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Friday (February 21st). He emphasized the need for leadership development, highlighting the importance of clear direction and goals. Referencing Swami Vivekananda, PM Modi said that Vivekananda believed that with 100 good leaders, he could not only liberate the country but also make India the number one nation in the world. He urged the adoption of this philosophy for future progress.

He said, "Some programs are very close to the heart, and the SOUL Leadership Conclave is one such program." PM Modi stressed that nation-building is only possible through individual development. He asserted that if India is to reach any significant height, it must begin with the development of its citizens.

PM Modi termed the establishment of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) a crucial step in India's journey towards becoming a developed nation, adding that a vast SOUL campus will soon be ready.

He stated that as India fosters new leadership in areas ranging from diplomacy to technological innovation, the nation's influence will multiply. He emphasized that India's future hinges on b leadership, necessitating a blend of global thinking and local upbringing.

'Today, Gujarat is the number one state in the country' - PM Modi

At the SOUL Leadership Conclave, Prime Minister Modi used Gujarat as an example to underscore the significance of leadership and development. He recounted that when India gained independence and Gujarat was separated from Maharashtra, many questioned Gujarat's future prospects. PM Modi explained that Gujarat lacked coal, mines, and other significant natural resources.

Some suggested that Gujarat possessed only desert and rubber, yet, he attributed its current status as India's number one state and the success of the 'Gujarat Model' to effective leadership. He further pointed out that despite lacking diamond mines, nine out of ten diamonds globally pass through the hands of Gujaratis.
