Following the Pahalgam attack, the Army, CRPF, SOG, and Police have cordoned off the area to search for the terrorists. NIA and forensic teams are on the scene; a drone and helicopter search is underway.

Pahalgam Terror Attack: A large-scale search operation has been launched by security forces across the area following a devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack resulted in 26 deaths and 17 injuries. This Tuesday attack has sent shockwaves across the nation.

Following the attack, an image of a terrorist has emerged, showing him wielding an AK-47. The picture is from the scene of the incident, but the attacker's face is not clearly visible.

NIA and Forensic Teams Arrive on the Scene

Immediately following the attack, National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams arrived in Srinagar. A team of forensic experts is also present at the site to gather evidence.

Joint Operation by Army, CRPF, and Police

The Indian Army, CRPF, SOG, and Jammu Police have completely cordoned off the area. A search for terrorist hideouts is underway with the assistance of drones and helicopters. Strict surveillance is also being maintained on the Mughal Road by the police and CRPF.

After the initial security operation concluded, the NIA team arrived at the location and commenced their investigation. The bodies of those killed in the attack have been transported from Pahalgam Hospital to Srinagar.

Prime Minister Modi Cuts Short His Visit

In light of this serious situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia and return to India. Upon arrival at Delhi airport, he was briefed on the situation by NSA Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and the Foreign Secretary.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Pahalgam today. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also spoke to Amit Shah over the phone expressing concern regarding the attack.
