PM Modi Visits RSS Headquarters After 11 Years, Pays Tribute at Smriti Mandir. Attended by Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat. Nagpur Visit Also Includes Ambedkar's Deekshabhoomi and Defense Projects.
PM Modi In RSS Headquarters: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the RSS headquarters in Nagpur on Saturday (March 30th) for the first time in 11 years. During his visit, he paid tribute to the founders of the Sangh at the Smriti Mandir. Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat was also present. This was the first time Modi visited the RSS headquarters after becoming Prime Minister.
Foundation Stone Laid for Madhav Netralaya Premium Center
During his visit, PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for 'Madhav Netralaya Premium Center,' a super-specialty eye hospital being built in memory of RSS founder Guru Golwalkar. This project is considered a significant step for Nagpur's healthcare sector.
Welcomed by Fadnavis and Gadkari
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed in Nagpur by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister and Nagpur MP Nitin Gadkari. Both leaders were also present during PM Modi's visit to the RSS headquarters.
Visit to Ambedkar's Deekshabhoomi
PM Modi also visited Baba Saheb Ambedkar's historic Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur. This is the site where Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar embraced Buddhism along with thousands of followers in 1956. PM Modi paid tribute to Ambedkar here.
Inauguration of Solar Defense and Aerospace Facility
Furthermore, the Prime Minister visited the ammunition facility of Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited in Nagpur. He also inaugurated a 1250-meter-long and 25-meter-wide airstrip built for UAV aircraft. This project is considered a crucial step towards strengthening India's defense capabilities.
Second Prime Minister to Visit RSS Headquarters
Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the second Prime Minister to visit the RSS headquarters. Previously, on August 27, 2000, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, as Prime Minister, visited the Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan and paid tribute to the Sangh founders.
