The festivities will reach their zenith at noon on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, when the birth of Lord Ram, the light of the Raghu dynasty, will be celebrated. All preparations for this auspicious moment have been completed. Extensive arrangements have been made for the convenience of devotees, including accommodation, refreshments, medical facilities, and guidance. A multi-layered security strategy has been implemented, prioritizing security above all else.
The Special Moment of Ramlala's Birth
Immediately following the celebration of Lord Shri Ram's birth at noon on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, a chandan tilak (sandalwood paste mark) will be applied to Ramlala's forehead. Complete preparations have been made for this wondrous sight. A successful trial run of the chandan tilak ceremony was completed on Saturday. This is the second time that the Ramlala Janmotsav is being celebrated in the newly constructed magnificent Ram Mandir. The entire temple complex is adorned with divine decorations.
The special abhishek (ritual bathing) of Ramlala in the sanctum sanctorum began at 9:30 AM and concluded at 10:30 AM. Following the adornment and offering of bhog (food offerings), Ramlala's Janmotsav will be celebrated precisely at noon.
Extensive Arrangements for Devotees: Expectation of Over 2.5 Million Devotees
Millions of devotees have arrived in Ayodhya from across India and abroad to witness Ramlala. The administration estimates that over 2.5 million devotees may participate in the Janmotsav this year. Keeping this in mind, extensive arrangements for security, drinking water, medical facilities, toilets, and guidance have been made at all entry points, roads, and ghats.
To provide relief to devotees from the hot weather, carpets and matting have been laid, water sprinklers installed, and cool drink distribution centers set up along the Ram Janmabhoomi Path and other major routes.
Traffic Control and Security: Diversions Implemented Across the City
Considering the large number of devotees and the grandeur of the event, traffic diversions have been implemented in Ayodhya. Four-wheeled vehicles are restricted from entering certain areas. Barricades have been erected at major locations such as Ram Ki Paidi, Kanak Bhavan, Hanuman Garhi, and the Saryu Ghat for security purposes. The entire pujan (worship) ceremony of the Ramlala Janmotsav is being live-streamed on television channels and internet media, allowing millions of devotees worldwide to participate in this spiritual festival.
