Samajwadi Party MP Ramjilal Suman's convoy attacked by Karni Sena in Aligarh. A collision resulted from tires being thrown at the vehicles. The MP was escorted to Agra for safety.

Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh: Amidst rising political tension and controversy, the convoy of Samajwadi Party (SP) Rajya Sabha MP Ramjilal Suman was attacked in Aligarh. The incident occurred near the Ghabana toll plaza, where several officials from the Karni Sena and Kshatriya Mahasabha were gathered.

Attack and Vehicle Collision

According to reports, Karni Sena workers threw tires at the vehicles in SP MP Ramjilal Suman's convoy. This caused a collision between the vehicles, narrowly averting a major accident. Following the attack, Aligarh police escorted the SP MP to Agra for safety, accompanying him beyond the Aligarh border, up to the Hathras border.

SP MP's Statement

Following the attack, Ramjilal Suman spoke to the media, stating, “This is a very serious matter. We were stopped by the police administration. Incidents of Dalit oppression are increasing in Uttar Pradesh, especially in Bulandshahr where six cases of Dalit oppression have come to light. We are currently going through a flood-like situation where minor Dalit girls are being assaulted, and even the statue of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar is being vandalized.”

Rana Sanga Controversy and Karni Sena's Protest

This attack followed a controversial statement made by Ramjilal Suman about Rana Sanga in the Rajya Sabha. Subsequently, the Karni Sena and other organizations had staged protests against him. The Karni Sena not only attacked his convoy in Aligarh but also vandalized his residence in Agra.

Heightened Political Climate

The incident has further escalated the political climate. While the SP MP's convoy was attacked, opposition parties are linking the attack to the government's failure and the deteriorating law and order situation. Meanwhile, the SP has termed the attack an assault on democracy and the handiwork of opposing forces.
