Farmer Registry to Ensure Transparent Benefits of PM Schemes: No e-KYC Required, Loans up to ₹2 Lakh Without Documents. Camp in Samastipur.

PM-KISAN: The Department of Agriculture has launched Farmer Registry camps to ensure transparent delivery of benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) and other government schemes. These camps are being organized across various blocks in Samastipur district to facilitate easy access to schemes for farmers.

What is Farmer Registry?

Farmer Registry is a digital registration process designed to ensure transparent delivery of benefits under agricultural schemes. Through this registry, farmers will not be required to repeatedly undergo e-KYC. Furthermore, they can obtain loans up to ₹200,000 through digital KCC (Kisan Credit Card) from banks without any documents, subject to eligibility, on the same day. This process aims to be simpler and more convenient for farmers.

Objective of Farmer Registry

The primary objective of the Farmer Registry in Samastipur district is to ensure timely and transparent delivery of benefits of all government schemes related to agriculture. This registry will directly provide farmers with benefits such as crop loans, crop insurance, agricultural produce sales, and fertilizer subsidies.

Launch of Registry Camps

Farmer Registry camps have been launched in Samastipur block under the AgriStack project. In the first phase, two revenue villages have been selected from each block to host these camps. The first camp commenced in Laguniya Raghukant village, Samastipur block. The camp was inaugurated by Sanjay Nath Tiwari, Joint Director (Agriculture), Darbhanga Division. He stated that subsidies, from PM-KISAN to fertilizers and seeds, will now be disbursed through this registry.

Required Documents

Farmers need the following documents for Farmer Registry registration:

Aadhaar Card – Aadhaar card is mandatory for registration.

Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number – Farmers must possess a mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card to receive OTPs (One Time Passwords).

Land Information – Farmers will need to provide details of their land holdings and will be entitled to purchase subsidized fertilizers as needed.

Benefits of Farmer Registry

The Farmer Registry offers several benefits to farmers:

No e-KYC Required – After registering once, farmers will not need to undergo repeated e-KYC procedures.

Digital KCC Loans – Loans up to ₹200,000 can be obtained from banks through digital KCC without any documents on the same day.

Transparent Benefits of Agricultural Schemes – Subsidies under agricultural schemes will be disbursed transparently.

Crop Loans and Crop Insurance – Farmers will find it easier to obtain crop loans and crop insurance compensation.

Sale of Agricultural Produce – Farmers will be able to sell their produce at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Fertilizer Purchase – Farmers will receive assistance in purchasing urea and other fertilizers through subsidies.

How to Apply?

Farmers can apply for Farmer Registry in the following ways:

Online Registration – Farmers can register online by visiting the portal: https://bhfr.agristack.gov.in. An Aadhaar card and Aadhaar-linked mobile number are required.

Common Service Centres (CSCs) – Farmers can also register for Farmer Registry at their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).

Implementation of Farmer Registry

A Digital Agriculture Cell has been established at the district level to ensure smooth functioning of the registration process. The District Magistrate (DM) will chair this cell, which will include the Additional Development Commissioner, Revenue Officer, District Agriculture Officer, Panchayat Raj Officer, and officials from other departments.

An implementation team has been formed at the block level, comprising the Block Development Officer (BDO), Block Agriculture Officer, and other relevant officials. This team will be responsible for the accurate and timely implementation of the registration process.
