Six people were killed and one woman critically injured in a horrific road accident in Sirohi district, Rajasthan, early Thursday morning.
Sirohi: Six people died and a woman sustained critical injuries in a devastating road accident that occurred early Thursday morning in Sirohi district, Rajasthan. The accident took place near Kiwarli in the Abu Road area on National Highway-27 when a speeding car collided with a trolley moving ahead. The deceased include a couple, their son, and a four-year-old child, among others.
6 Killed in Accident
According to police, all passengers in the car were residents of Jalore district and were returning to Jalore from Ahmedabad. The car became completely embedded in the trolley, resulting in the immediate deaths of four people at the scene. Two others, critically injured, were taken to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries during treatment. The sole surviving woman was referred to a larger hospital in Sirohi, where her condition remains critical.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Sadar Station House Officer Darshan Singh, SI Gokulram, and other police officers arrived at the scene. The police used a crane to extricate the car from the trolley. Since the car was completely damaged, the doors had to be broken to retrieve the bodies. It took approximately 40 minutes to remove the bodies.

The injured woman, Daria Devi (35), wife of Pukharaj, is undergoing treatment at Sirohi hospital.
Accident Occurred in the Darkness of Night
Head Constable Vinod Lamba stated that he was on patrol during the night when he heard a loud bang. Upon reaching the scene, he immediately informed the ambulance and senior officers. The news of the accident caused widespread distress among the families of the deceased. The police have kept the bodies in the mortuary and initiated legal proceedings.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the car was speeding and met with the accident while attempting to overtake the trolley ahead. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly and questioning the trolley driver.
