The suicide of Manab Sharma, a recruitment manager at TCS, has taken a new turn. Days after the incident, a WhatsApp chat purportedly between Manab's sister, Akanksha, and his wife, Nikita, is going viral on social media.
Agra: Following the suicide of TCS employee Manab Sharma, a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat between his wife, Nikita Sharma, and sister, Akanksha Sharma, is circulating widely on social media. This chat, which allegedly took place between 2 AM and 3 AM, shows Akanksha advising Nikita to ignore Manab's calls and go to sleep. Before his suicide, Manab Sharma created a video where he made serious allegations of mental abuse against his wife, Nikita, and her family.
Messages Exchanged at 2 AM
According to the viral chat, Nikita messaged Akanksha at 2 AM stating that Manab was intoxicated and might harm himself. In response, Akanksha reportedly said, "Don't engage, ignore him and go to sleep." Later, Nikita informed Akanksha that Manab had video-called her, showing himself seated on a chair with a cloth around his neck, the other end tied to a ceiling fan. Even then, Akanksha advised Nikita to "stay b and rest."
Mental Strain and Past Relationships Involved
According to Nikita, Manab was suffering from severe mental distress after learning about his past relationships. He began drinking heavily and repeatedly attempted suicide. Nikita claims Manab misinterpreted his past relationships, leading to his increasingly aggressive behavior. Following Manab's death, his sister, Akanksha, accused Nikita of mental abuse.
She stated that Manab's depression and subsequent actions were a result of his wife's behavior and pressure. However, Nikita denies all allegations, stating that Manab had become mentally unstable.
Police Investigation Underway
The authenticity of the viral chat screenshot and the video call claims is being verified. Police have begun questioning both Nikita and Akanksha, and further action will be taken based on the forensic report. This incident has sparked important discussions about mental health and marital disputes within society.
