Tulsi Gabbard's India Visit: Discussing US-India Relations and Krishna's Teachings

Tulsi Gabbard, the former chief of the US intelligence agency, visited India and openly discussed India-US relations, the teachings of Lord Krishna, and Indian culture and cuisine.

New Delhi: Tulsi Gabbard, during her recent visit to India, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Throughout her trip, she expressed a deep interest in India-US relations, Indian culture, and particularly, Indian cuisine. In an interview, Gabbard revealed that Dal Makhani and dishes made with fresh paneer are among her favorite Indian foods.

India: A Second Home

Gabbard, the first Hindu elected to the US Congress, stated that the teachings of Lord Krishna guide her life. She said, "Whether it's the battlefield or other ups and downs of life, I always rely on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. It is a source of strength and inspiration for me." Regarding her trip to India, Gabbard mentioned that every visit feels like coming home. She praised the warmth and hospitality of the Indian people and lauded Indian cuisine, calling it unparalleled in the world.

A Special Gift from PM Modi

During her visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented Gabbard with sacred Ganga water from the Maha Kumbh Mela, which she accepted with reverence. In return, Gabbard gifted Modi a Rudraksha mala. Gabbard noted that concrete steps are being taken to strengthen trade and diplomatic cooperation between India and the United States. She highlighted the importance of open dialogue on tariff issues and commended the growing collaboration between the two nations.
