According to Lutnick, 37 million people worldwide may be eligible to purchase this Gold Card. Trump believes that if they successfully sell 1 million cards, America could benefit by up to $5 trillion. This would significantly boost the US economy.
Replacement for the Existing EB-5 Investor Visa
Lutnick also stated that this Gold Card program is a replacement for the US EB-5 investor visa, which offers large investors the opportunity to obtain permanent residency. Trump believes this plan will attract investors to the US, stimulating the economy, increasing jobs, and boosting tax revenue.
Plan to Reduce America's National Debt
The Gold Card program also aims to reduce America's $36.2 trillion national debt. According to Lutnick, this plan could be an effective way to reduce the federal deficit.
