India Weather Warning: Heavy Rainfall, Hailstorms, and Strong Winds Predicted

The weather department has issued forecasts for changing weather conditions across various regions of the country. A warning has been issued for heavy rainfall, hailstorms, and b winds in 10 states. Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh are expected to experience heavy rainfall, while Jammu and Kashmir may see snowfall.

According to the meteorological department, heavy rainfall and snowfall are predicted for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, parts of Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand within the next 24 hours. Temperatures are expected to drop in these areas during this period.

Rainfall and Strong Winds Warning in North India

The department forecasts light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan from February 27th to March 1st. Strong winds (30-40 km/h) are predicted for Punjab and Haryana on February 27th and 28th. Heavy rainfall and hailstorms are also possible in Punjab on February 28th.

Rainfall Forecast for South India

The weather department has predicted rainfall with thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe from February 27th to March 2nd. The department advises caution due to the possibility of sudden weather changes in these regions.

Temperature Change Forecast

According to the weather department, minimum temperatures in Northwest India may increase by 2°C over the next two days, followed by a decrease of 2-4°C. In Gujarat, no significant change in maximum temperature is expected for the next two days, but a subsequent increase of 2-3°C is likely.

Increased Summer Impact Predicted

The impact of summer is expected to increase in Gujarat, many districts of Mumbai and Maharashtra, and Goa within the next 24 hours. These states will experience warmer weather until February 28th, requiring people to cope with the heat.

Delhi Heat Increase

On Wednesday, Delhi recorded its highest temperature of the season so far at 32°C. This matches the temperature recorded on February 27th, 2023. The weather department has issued a warning for thunderstorms and rainfall in Delhi on Thursday, forecasting a maximum temperature of 26°C and a minimum temperature of 18°C.
