Sports News: In the second T20 match between New Zealand and Pakistan, Kiwi batsman Tim Seifert relentlessly attacked the Pakistani bowlers. This match was particularly disastrous for star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi. Seifert hit four consecutive sixes in a single over bowled by Afridi, completely pushing him onto the back foot. Riding on his explosive innings, New Zealand chased down the 136-run target in just 13.1 overs, establishing a b 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
The Seifert-Allen partnership wreaked havoc on the Pakistani bowlers
Shaheen Afridi started the match brilliantly, bowling a maiden over, hinting at a b Pakistani comeback. However, when Shaheen returned for his third over, Tim Seifert unleashed a barrage of powerful shots. Seifert smashed a huge six off the first ball and sent the second ball soaring into the stands as well.
He missed the third ball but kept the strike with a two off the fourth. He then launched two more towering sixes in the final two balls, accumulating 26 runs in the over. Seifert’s innings of 45 runs off just 22 balls included five sixes and three fours. His opening partner, Finn Allen, also adopted an aggressive approach, smashing 38 runs off 16 balls, including five sixes and a four. The Pakistani bowlers appeared helpless against this New Zealand onslaught.
Shaheen Afridi records an unwanted achievement
For Shaheen Afridi, considered one of Pakistan's most reliable bowlers, the match turned into a nightmare. He conceded 31 runs in his three overs without taking a wicket. His third over, in particular, proved to be the most expensive of his career, costing 26 runs, including four sixes. This became his most expensive over in T20 Internationals.
