With this achievement, Bennett surpassed Indian batting legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. Kohli scored his first 150+ runs in an ODI at the age of 23 years and 134 days, while Sachin Tendulkar achieved this feat at 26 years and 198 days. Bennett's historic innings led Zimbabwe to a resounding 49-run victory over Ireland.

Young Zimbabwean batsman Brian Bennett has become the fourth youngest batsman in the world to score 150 or more runs in an ODI. Ireland's Paul Stirling tops this list, scoring 177 runs against Canada in 2010 at the age of just 20 years and 4 days.
