"The Lengthy Snake: Engaging Tales"
There once was a man who had a great fondness for spinning long yarns. Whenever he told a story, he embellished it so much that even the wise, let alone the ignorant, would sometimes doubt his words.
One day, a well-wisher advised him to curtail his storytelling. "Your stories are so long that even fools begin to suspect you. People laugh at you, make jokes at your expense. It's time to rein it in."
The man agreed. "Alright. Next time I start a story and you feel it's getting too long, just clear your throat subtly. I'll understand."
His well-wisher nodded.
One day, the man sat among friends, ready to tell a story. He began, "Once, I was passing through a terrible jungle. Suddenly, I saw a huge snake there. I estimated it to be about 140 feet long."
His watchful friend cleared his throat. The man hesitated for a moment but continued. "I thought such a large snake couldn't exist. I decided to go closer and see for myself. So, I went closer and estimated it to be about 110 feet."
His friend cleared his throat again.
Annoyed, the man looked at him and said, "110 feet seemed excessive. I thought that only by killing the snake could I find out its true length. When I killed it and examined the carcass closely, I realized it couldn't be more than 90 feet.”
His friend laughed loudly.
The storyteller, now agitated and uncomfortable, said, "Hey friends! It was necessary to confirm. The dead snake was right in front of me. When I measured it, it turned out to be a mere 70 feet."
His friend laughed even louder, this time accompanied by a coughing fit.
The frustrated storyteller retorted, "Hey friend, what's the use now? The measurement has been taken. Even if you cough yourself to death, the snake's length won't decrease!"
