गोरखपुर is taking proactive steps to address the escalating issue of air pollution. The Municipal Corporation has launched a new initiative to deploy water sprayers – also known as sprinklers – along city streets and busy thoroughfares.
The Municipal Corporation stated that this plan involves the deployment of new sprinkler machines, which will be instrumental in controlling dust, soil, and airborne particles. This will significantly reduce dust levels in main roads and bustling markets, ultimately improving air quality.
In addition to the existing sprinklers, the Corporation is procuring additional water sprayers to expand the scope of cleaning and dust control efforts. The Municipal Commissioner emphasized that alongside cleaning and water spraying, other pollution-control measures will also be implemented.
Regular spraying and cleaning in affected areas are anticipated to lead to a reduction in pollution levels throughout the city in the coming months, allowing residents to breathe cleaner air.
