A tragic incident has come to light in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, involving a love affair. On Tuesday, a 22-year-old man visited his girlfriend’s maternal home and insisted on accompanying her. When the girl and her family refused, he consumed poison in despair.
The man was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Upon receiving news of the incident, police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.
Initial investigations suggest that this act was a consequence of rejection in love and underlying mental depression. The investigating officer stated that further action will be taken after confirming the post-mortem report and other aspects of the case.
