3.5 Lakh Youths to Get Jobs in Noida Under Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana Starting August 1; Government to Provide First Salary in Two Installments.
Rojgar Yojana: A significant step is being taken towards employment in Noida and Greater Noida. The central government is launching the 'Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ELI)' from August 1, 2025. The aim of this scheme is to create large-scale employment opportunities in the service and manufacturing sectors.
Employment Opportunity for Three and a Half Lakh People
Under the joint initiative of the District Industries Center and the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), it is expected that around 3.5 lakh youths will get employment in Noida in the coming two years. This scheme will especially benefit those employees who will be registered under EPFO for the first time, i.e., those whose first UAN (Universal Account Number) will be generated.
Government Will Provide Assistance for the First Salary
The most important aspect of this scheme is that the employees whose UAN will be generated for the first time will receive a maximum amount of ₹15,000 of their first salary in two installments from the central government. This assistance will be provided directly by the government so that new employees can get financial stability in the beginning.
Employers Will Also Benefit
The benefits of this scheme will not only be limited to the employees but will also extend to the employers. The government will provide incentives to the employers so that they can provide employment to more and more people. For this, the EPF department and the District Industries Center are running awareness campaigns together.
Focus Will Be on Service and Production Sectors
According to Deputy Commissioner of District Industries, Anil Kumar, currently only the service and manufacturing sectors have been included in this scheme. The idea behind this is that there are maximum employment opportunities in these two sectors and the number of industries associated with them is also quite high.
Thousands of Companies Ready in Noida
There are approximately 60 thousand service sector companies and about 30 thousand manufacturing units active in Noida district. Companies with more than 50 employees will have to hire at least five new employees, and units with less than 50 employees will have to hire a minimum of two new employees. This is likely to create a large number of jobs.
EPF Office is Conducting Awareness Campaign
EPFO and the District Industries Center are jointly trying to make maximum employers and employees aware of the scheme. A special workshop is being organized on July 31 in the Ecotech-12 area, in which company operators along with EPF officials will also participate. All aspects related to the scheme will be explained in detail in this workshop.

The main objective of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana is to empower the youth of the country. The government wants new employees to get financial relief in the initial months of the job, so that they can stay in the job for a long time. Also, this scheme is a major step towards promoting employment in the formal sector.
