This approximately 200 km long foot march is underway from Ayodhya to Prayagraj, prominently raising issues such as unemployment, recruitment scams, and social injustice.
Upon the foot march's arrival in Sultanpur, local residents and various social sections extended extensive support. Sanjay Singh stated that unemployment is “at its peak” during the tenure of the BJP government, and continuous paper-leak incidents have affected the future of the youth. He alleged that the government has failed to ensure transparency in recruitment processes.
The MP also claimed that he has fought for the rights of the poor, deprived, and exploited sections in the district over the past 16 years. He also identified issues related to power cuts, lack of health facilities, and education as serious challenges.
This AAP foot march is considered an attempt to bring the issues of youth, Shikshamitras, ASHA-Anganwadi workers, weavers, and other communities into the political mainstream in the state. The party states that the movement aims to put Uttar Pradesh on the path of “social justice and dignified employment.”
