Light drizzle was reported in Agra on Saturday morning, marking the start of the day under partly cloudy skies. Cloud movement continued across the city, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall in several areas during the day, with thundershowers likely at some locations. However, humid conditions may persist before rainfall occurs.

According to IMD data, the city's maximum temperature was recorded at above 37 degrees Celsius. The night temperature was also 2.1 degrees Celsius above normal, resulting in warm conditions overnight. Elevated temperatures during both the day and night have increased humidity levels across the city.

The morning drizzle brought some freshness to the atmosphere, but the limited rainfall did not result in any substantial drop in temperature. Weather experts said that if adequate rainfall occurs by the afternoon or evening, it may provide relief from the prevailing heat and humidity.

According to meteorologists, monsoon activity is gradually becoming active across several parts of Uttar Pradesh. As a result, Agra and surrounding areas are likely to receive intermittent rainfall over the next few days. Localised cloud activity may also lead to rapid changes in weather conditions.

Agricultural experts said that good rainfall in the coming days would benefit kharif crops, particularly paddy and other seasonal crops. Farmers in areas that have not yet received the expected rainfall are awaiting the upcoming showers.

Health experts have advised people to drink adequate water, wear light cotton clothing, and avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during periods of b sunshine due to the changing weather conditions. They have also urged people to exercise caution while passing through waterlogged areas during rainfall and to avoid standing in open places during lightning.

The municipal corporation and the concerned departments have been instructed to keep drainage systems in proper working condition in view of the possibility of rainfall so that waterlogging can be minimised in the event of heavy rain. Low-lying areas are being monitored closely.

At present, the weather in Agra remains pleasant following the morning drizzle, although the temperature continues to remain above 37 degrees Celsius. The IMD has forecast rainfall during the day, which may provide some relief from the heat and humidity by evening.
