There is a discussion on social media that the three news clippings shared by Akhilesh Yadav claim that these appointments were made in the year 2016.

Akhilesh Yadav's Allegation

The Kannauj MP wrote on his official X account, "One name, many appointments! Has the 'Jugaad Commission' also started handling appointments? The discussion on social media is going viral rapidly that the recruitments mentioned in the news clippings shared by Akhilesh Yadav are stated to be from the year 2016. At that time, the SP government was in power in Uttar Pradesh until March 11, 2017. The screenshots and news shared by Akhilesh claimed that six different appointments were being held under the name of one person, Arpit Singh.

According to a report by Hindi newspaper Amar Ujala, Arpit Singh, son of Anil Kumar Singh (born- June 12, 1989, Pratapnagar, Shahganj, Agra), was posted at six different locations between May 25, 2016, and August 1, 2016. The order of these postings was as follows:

  • May 25, 2016 – Farrukhabad, Shamsabad
  • May 31, 2016 – CHC Mursan, Hathras
  • June 8, 2016 – Bilaspur, Rampur
  • July 12, 2016 – Bisauli, Badaun
  • July 25, 2016 – Naraini, Banda
  • August 1, 2016 – Pachpedwa, Balrampur

Arpit is currently working in Mursan. The report also stated that family benefits and corruption were involved in this person's appointments.

Yogi Government's Reaction

Commenting on this matter on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said without naming anyone, "One person was taking money by getting his name registered in 8 places. This came to light when an investigation was conducted. These are the same people who were getting recruitments done by taking money for their families. This is a matter of recruitment from 2016. We have conducted an investigation, and it is still ongoing."

If the investigation is completed on time, then many such people who have done acts detrimental to Uttar Pradesh may spend the rest of their lives in jail. Yogi Adityanath's statement makes it clear that his government is fully committed to taking action against corruption and illegal appointments.
