Pakistan's anti-terrorism court released Imran Khan's sister, Aleema Khan, on bail in connection with the November 26 protest case. The court approved her release on two bail bonds, each worth two hundred thousand rupees, and the next hearing will be on December 1.

Rawalpindi: Pakistan's anti-terrorism court has released former Prime Minister Imran Khan's sister, Aleema Khan, on bail in the case related to the protest held on November 26. The court approved Aleema Khan's release on two bail bonds, each worth two hundred thousand rupees. Following this, her release process was completed, and she was freed from custody.

Custody During Court Appearance

When Aleema Khan appeared in court, her lawyer was busy at the Supreme Court and requested permission to leave. During this time, she was placed under temporary judicial custody. Prosecution lawyer Zaheer Shah stated that under Section 351 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), an accused person is subject to judicial custody. As she was leaving the court, female police officers took her into custody and brought her back to the court premises. Subsequently, her lawyer, Faisal Malik, arrived at the court, and the court approved the two bail bonds he presented, leading to Aleema Khan's release.

Witnesses Fined

The court also imposed a fine of ten thousand rupees each on eight witnesses for adopting tactics to delay the hearing in the case. This fine was imposed for obstructing court proceedings. Aleema Khan had already submitted bail bonds in accordance with earlier court orders. The court has adjourned the further hearing on the defense's application until December 1.

What Was the Case?

Aleema Khan was arrested on November 26 during protests in Pakistan. In this case, the court had issued arrest warrants multiple times. Following her release, Aleema Khan will now participate in further legal proceedings through her lawyer.

Following this development, opposition parties and human rights groups in Pakistan have welcomed the court's decision. Public and political circles are now focused on the next hearing, scheduled for December 1.
