Police have launched an investigation in Aligarh district’s Akrabad area after a young man allegedly killed his girlfriend and later died by suicide by jumping in front of a train, according to police.
Both incidents occurred within a short span of time, and authorities are gathering details of the sequence of events.
According to information received, the man and the woman had been in a relationship for a long period. Reports indicate that a dispute occurred between them over an unspecified issue.
Following the argument, the man allegedly killed the woman.
It has been reported that the man recorded a video before taking his own life. In the video, he concluded his message by saying “The End.”
He also reportedly called the woman’s brother and told him that he had committed a “big incident.” After the call, he went toward the railway track.
Shortly afterward, the man jumped in front of an approaching train. He died at the scene after being struck by the train.
Local residents reached the location after learning about the incident and informed the police.
Police arrived at the scene and began an investigation. The man’s body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination.
Police are also investigating the woman’s killing. Officers are questioning people at and around the scene to gather details of the incident.
Preliminary findings indicate that the man recorded a video and made phone calls informing some individuals about the incident before his death. Police are examining the video and call records as part of the investigation.
