The gunman requested the vehicle ahead to give way in order to manage the situation. The matter escalated into a dispute, during which the accused allegedly assaulted the gunman and the driver.
Police initiated action immediately after the incident and detained one accused the same night. Officials have confirmed that other accused have been identified and efforts are ongoing to apprehend them. A case has been registered under relevant sections and an investigation has been initiated. Police are also examining whether the incident was solely the result of a road-related dispute or if other factors were involved.
The incident has raised questions regarding VIP security and law and order during election-related events, indicating potential lapses in security management.
