An Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) student died in a railway accident at Lakhisarai railway station after being struck by a train while returning home from Patna. She sustained serious injuries in the incident and was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead during treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, confusion followed the accident at the station. Passengers and railway staff present at the scene immediately began relief efforts and arranged for the injured student to be taken to hospital for initial treatment. Government Railway Police (GRP) and local police reached the station after receiving information about the incident.
Police inspected the accident site and collected necessary evidence. Preliminary investigation is focused on determining the circumstances under which the accident occurred. Railway officials and police have also begun examining CCTV footage from the station to establish the sequence of events.
