How the Accident Happened: Know the Full Story

The accident occurred on Monday when the Chinese-made F-7 training aircraft lost control during a routine exercise and crashed into the school building located in the Uttara area. The collision was so forceful that a large explosion occurred on the spot, and a fire broke out. Classes were in session at the school at the time of the accident, causing panic among children and teachers. Video footage from the scene showed thick plumes of black smoke rising into the sky. Relief and rescue teams immediately arrived at the scene, brought the fire under control, and admitted the injured to hospitals.

Administration and Air Force Response

Detailed information regarding the identities of the deceased and the condition of the injured has not yet been provided by the Bangladesh administration. However, it is clear that most of those injured in the accident were students and staff members of the school.

Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of Bangladesh, expressed deep condolences over the accident. He said that the government would conduct a full investigation into the accident and provide all possible assistance to those affected. He stated, "The loss suffered by the Air Force, students, parents, and teachers in this accident is irreparable. This is a time of deep sorrow for the entire country."

What is the F-7 Aircraft?

The F-7 aircraft is a Chinese-made supersonic training jet, which is used by the air forces of many countries for practice. It is based on the old MiG-21 model and has limited speed and technical capabilities. Technical problems related to these aircraft have come up in the past, raising questions about their safety standards.

Technical Malfunction or Negligence Behind the Accident?

According to the information available so far, the accident is believed to have been caused by a technical malfunction. However, no official statement has been given on this. A team of experts from the Air Force is investigating the scene, and a preliminary report is expected to be released soon.

Experts believe that regular inspection and maintenance of older aircraft like the F-7 are essential. If this initiative had been taken earlier, perhaps this tragic accident could have been avoided.
