Bihar's Crime Surge: RJD Leaders Slam Nitish Kumar and Demand PM Modi's Intervention

The rising incidents of crime in Bihar have heated up the state's politics. Two prominent leaders of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)—former Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav and Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav—have heavily criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA government. Both leaders have declared the law and order situation in the state a failure, labeling the government a 'copycat' and the Chief Minister 'unconscious'. They have also demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi address the issue of law and order in Bihar.

Complete Anarchy Prevails in Bihar

Taking a b stance on the state's law and order, Tej Pratap Yadav said that Bihar is now experiencing a situation akin to complete anarchy. He alleged that criminals are wreaking havoc on the streets with impunity, while the Nitish government is merely standing by as a spectator.

Tej Pratap said, "There is no control over anyone anymore. Nitish Kumar is no longer able to govern. The entire system has collapsed. If the government is incapable of curbing crime, it should resign."

Nitish Government is a Copycat

Tej Pratap Yadav also attacked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding his recent announcements. He said, "Announcements start as elections approach. If something was to be given to the public for free, why wasn't it done earlier?" He described the government as a "copycat government," stating that the Nitish government is now merely echoing and promoting the promises that Tejashwi has already made.

The RJD leaders also criticized the electricity subsidy. Tejashwi and Tej Pratap said that Nitish Kumar previously stated that free electricity was wrong, but now he has also announced 200 units of free electricity. This shows that the government has neither a policy nor a vision.

Tejashwi Yadav's Direct Attack

Tejashwi Yadav also put the Nitish government in the dock regarding the state's law and order. He said, "The Chief Minister is in an unconscious state. Bihar is out of his control. Criminals have now become emperors. There is an atmosphere of fear and insecurity in the state."

Tejashwi criticized the recent statement by Bihar Police, saying that by stating that crime increases due to the monsoon, the police have also abdicated their responsibilities. He said that this government is not taking any concrete steps regarding the safety of the public.

Attack on Lalan Singh's Mutton Party

Tej Pratap Yadav accused JDU President Lalan Singh of playing politics in the name of cultural values. He said, "They eat mutton during Sawan and take Ramji's name for show. This is duplicitous politics."

On this issue, Tejashwi Yadav also said that the BJP will now say that they are earning merit by serving mutton. Is this Indian culture? He demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi question Lalan Singh's statement.

Does Modi Ji Only Come to Bihar to Seek Votes?

Tejashwi Yadav also raised sharp questions regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit to Bihar. He said, "The Prime Minister should talk about the murders and crime incidents happening in the state. Does he only come to seek votes?" Tejashwi said that the Prime Minister should meet the families of those who have been murdered and clarify the center's role in the poor state of law and order.

RJD Shows Aggressive Stance

The RJD is completely aggressive regarding the increasing crimes in Bihar. Tejashwi and Tej Pratap Yadav, in unison, cornered the Nitish government, saying that the people of the state are living under a cloud of fear. Accusing the government of ignoring public welfare and copying the opposition's announcements, they said that this government is in the final phase of its tenure and is running on empty election promises.
