Bihar Government School Teachers Can Apply for Inter-District Transfers by September 13

Opportunity for Inter-District Transfer for Government School Teachers. Apply by September 13 on the E-Shiksha Portal. Chance to serve in the home district.

Bihar Teacher Transfer 2025: A significant opportunity has arisen for teachers serving in Bihar's government schools. The Education Department has initiated the application process for inter-district transfer under Bihar Teacher Transfer 2025. This initiative brings special relief to those teachers who are posted far from their home districts or families. Teachers can now apply to serve in their preferred districts through the E-Shiksha Kosh portal.

How to Apply via E-Shiksha Kosh Portal

Teachers applying for inter-district transfer must first open the E-Shiksha Kosh portal and log in with their Teacher ID. After logging in, teachers need to click on the 'Inter District Transfer' option on the dashboard. Subsequently, it is necessary to apply by going to 'Apply/View Transfer Application'.

During the application process, teachers must accurately fill in their Marital Status and Home District information. The application will only be accepted if this information is correct.

Select Three Districts as Options

For transfer, teachers can select three districts according to their preference. If, for any reason, a teacher needs to change their options, they can make the necessary modifications by visiting 'View Application'. This facility ensures that teachers can apply for transfer according to their preferences.

Application Deadline

The Education Department has clarified that the last date for application is September 13, 2025. No teacher will get an opportunity to apply after this date. Therefore, all teachers are requested to complete the application process in a timely manner and ensure the benefit of serving in their home district.

Who Cannot Avail the Benefit

The department has also clarified that teachers who have previously availed the benefit of Mutual Transfer cannot apply this time. Furthermore, teachers from BPSC TRE-3 will not be included in this application process. This condition ensures that only eligible and intended beneficiaries apply.

This initiative has generated enthusiasm and hope among teachers. Many teachers are posted in districts far from their homes and have been living separately from their families for a long time. Through inter-district transfer, they will now have the opportunity to serve in their home districts. Teachers have stated that this matter has been under discussion for a long time, and this initiative now brings them significant relief.

Relief for Couples

Many teachers, as a couple, are posted in different districts, which has been affecting their family life. Following the Bihar Teacher Transfer 2025 order, such teachers can now stay in the same district and spend time with their families. This decision reflects the sensitivity of the Education Department and its commitment to employee welfare.

Number of Teachers and Appointments in the State

Currently, approximately 5,97,000 teachers are employed in government schools in Bihar. Recently, over 2,33,000 teachers have been appointed through TRE-1 to TRE-3. Additionally, an Eligibility Test has been conducted for qualified teachers to grant them state employee status. Now, more than 2,50,000 teachers have been registered as state employees.

The appointment process for about 26,500 teachers is underway in Bihar under the upcoming TRE-4 (Teacher Recruitment Examination). Prior to this, the STET (State Teacher Eligibility Test) will be conducted. Upon completion of this process, the teaching community will experience stability and better career opportunities.
