He demanded an impartial investigation into the matter. The allegations have not been independently verified.
Different accounts of the alleged incident subsequently began circulating on social media. Some claims referred to alleged misconduct with a female employee, while others mentioned a dispute and physical altercation at the hotel. Sanjay Singh has completely rejected the allegations. He said that no such incident involving him took place and described the allegations as a conspiracy to defame the council of ministers. He challenged anyone with an actual photograph or video related to the alleged incident to make it public.
Sanjay Singh also said that he was prepared to retire from politics if the allegations against him were proved. He alleged that people associated with the opposition were spreading false claims and said legal action would be taken against those responsible.
Tej Pratap Yadav had alleged that hotel employees intervened after alleged inappropriate behaviour and an attempt to exploit the woman. He demanded an investigation and also claimed that an attempt was allegedly made to suppress the matter through a transaction of around Rs 25 lakh. After the allegations emerged, political exchanges intensified in Bihar. Sanjay Singh took legal action against the allegations and sent a defamation notice to Tej Pratap Yadav. According to reports, the notice described the allegations as false and defamatory and sought removal of the posts and an apology.

He said the matter should be investigated and that if the allegations were proved correct, strict action should be taken against the person responsible. He also said that if guilt was established, action could extend beyond the ministerial position to membership of the party.

Prashant Kishor did not directly name Sanjay Singh or Tej Pratap Yadav in his statement, although his remarks were linked to the Delhi hotel controversy.
The circulation of an alleged AI-generated video has added another dimension to the controversy. AI technology can be used to place a person's face or voice into other material, making it possible to create content that may appear authentic at first sight.
The source of any viral video, its date and location, whether it is an original recording or has been digitally altered, and whether independent direct evidence exists are key questions that need to be established before any claim can be confirmed.
If an original video or CCTV footage exists, forensic examination could establish whether it is an original recording or has been digitally altered. Hotel records, statements from employees and other direct evidence could also help establish what actually happened.
