Rajasthan BJP Leader's 'Robot PM' Remark Sparks Outrage and Political Firestorm

Rajasthan's politics has once again heated up. This time, a political battle has erupted over former Prime Minister and renowned economist Dr. Manmohan Singh. While speaking to the media at Jaipur Airport on Wednesday evening, Rajasthan BJP in-charge and Rajya Sabha MP Radha Mohan Das Agrawal made controversial remarks about Dr. Manmohan Singh. He said that "Rajiv Gandhi brought computers to the country, but Congress also gave the country a robot Prime Minister in the form of Manmohan Singh." He alleged that Dr. Manmohan Singh was Prime Minister in name only and worked like a robot.

Congress Launches Fierce Counterattack

The Congress party immediately reacted bly to the BJP leader's remark. The party described it as a public insult to the former Prime Minister and said that Manmohan Singh was not only a respected leader but also a visionary economist, under whose leadership the country witnessed historic economic reforms. Congress leaders, calling the BJP's statement unfortunate, said that it is an insult not only to Dr. Singh but to the entire democratic values.

The party demanded that the BJP should publicly apologize to the country for this statement. Congress leaders say that the BJP is deliberately targeting leaders who have worked for the country with honesty and integrity.

Ashok Gehlot Attacks

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also criticized the BJP on this issue. He said that Radha Mohan Das Agrawal always makes controversial statements to stay in the headlines. Gehlot alleged that he comes predetermined from Delhi on what to say in Rajasthan to get media attention.

Gehlot said that calling a scholar and honest leader like Dr. Manmohan Singh a robot is highly condemnable. This has insulted not only him but also the dignity of the country. The BJP should apologize to the entire country.
