A commotion broke out in the Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday night when some people pelted stones at the residence of Pooran Arya, the district president of the BJP Scheduled Castes Morcha. The incident reportedly occurred around 10 PM. The attackers broke the glass of the windows and vandalized the scooter and Bolero vehicle parked outside.
Following the incident, a tense atmosphere prevailed in the area, prompting the police to deploy a large force at the scene. The situation is currently under control, but the police are maintaining high alert and are investigating the matter.
Tribal Woman Accuses Pooran Arya of Molestation
A tribal woman had accused Pooran Arya of molestation on July 4th. The woman had filed a complaint on July 3rd, after which Pooran Arya submitted an application to the SP on July 4th, giving his clarification and demanding a fair investigation. Arya claims that he was out of town on the day the incident is alleged to have occurred.
Pooran Arya stated that his family was targeted due to false accusations. On the night of July 5th, some people attacked his house. His son was also injured in the attack. He said that during the stone-pelting, the windows of his house were broken, and the vehicles parked outside were also damaged.
Case Registered Against 11 People Involved in the Attack
Sheopur SDOP Rajiv Kumar Gupta said that a molestation case had been registered against Pooran Arya at the Kotwali police station. Following this, the woman's husband and her relatives attacked Pooran Arya's house. In this case, the police have registered an FIR against 11 people.
The names included in the FIR are Vikas Adivasi, Ravi Adivasi, Bhola, Deepu, Kumbhkaran, Ramu, Bhannu, Sinni, Chutiya, Suraj, and Banti Adivasi. According to the report, all of them pelted stones together and caused damage to property.
Police Increase Security
Since the incident, police force has been deployed in the area as a precaution. The police say that the situation is completely under control and all necessary steps are being taken to deal with any untoward situation.
Currently, the police are searching for the attackers and a thorough investigation of the entire matter is underway. The administration has made it clear that strict action will be taken against the culprits and no one will be allowed to disrupt law and order.
