BPSC 71st CCE Prelims 2025: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has put an end to the rumors circulating on social media regarding the 71st Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination (71st CCE Prelims 2025). The commission has clarified that the exam will indeed be held on September 13, 2025. Additionally, information has been provided to candidates regarding the download of their admit cards.

BPSC's Statement on Rumors Spread on Social Media

Recently, news was spreading on social media from BPSC that the 71st Preliminary Examination has been postponed. This news had created confusion among the candidates. In response, the commission has issued an official statement clarifying that there has been no change in the examination. The exam will be held on the previously scheduled date, September 13, 2025.

The commission has appealed to candidates not to pay attention to any misleading information circulating on social media and to rely only on the information available on the official website, bpsc.bihar.gov.in.

Admit Cards to be Issued Soon

BPSC has also informed that admit cards for all candidates will be available for download very soon. It is expected that the admit cards will be released by the end of this week. Once the admit cards are released, candidates can easily download them by visiting the official website.

In addition, the admit cards will provide candidates with information about the examination center and district.

Steps to Download Admit Card

When BPSC releases the admit cards, candidates will be able to download them in a few easy steps.

  • First, visit the official website of BPSC at bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
  • Click on the link related to the admit card on the homepage.
  • Enter your registration details on the login page and submit.
  • The admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Download the admit card and take a printout.

Exam Pattern and Timing

The BPSC 71st CCE Prelims 2025 will be conducted in offline mode (pen-paper). The exam will consist of a total of 150 questions, which will be multiple-choice (MCQ). Each question will carry one mark.

The duration of the examination will be 2 hours, i.e., 120 minutes. Candidates will need to pay special attention to time management, as solving 150 questions in such a short time is not easy.

Main Examination and Interview Process

Candidates who qualify in the Prelims examination will get the opportunity to appear for the Mains examination. Candidates will also have to secure the minimum cutoff marks in the Mains examination.

Candidates who clear the cutoff will be called for an interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the interview and the Mains examination.

As per the notification issued by BPSC, a total of 1298 posts will be filled through this recruitment process. These posts will be filled in various services and departments of the Bihar state.
