Businessman Mohit Garg Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances at Delhi Hotel; Poisoning Suspected

Businessman Mohit Garg (26) died under suspicious circumstances at a hotel in New Usmanpur, Delhi. The family suspects poisoning, while the police and Crime Branch are investigating the scene.

New Delhi: The suspicious death of 26-year-old businessman Mohit Garg alias Mannu at a hotel in Delhi's New Usmanpur area has caused a sensation in the region. The police and Crime Branch arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and recommended a post-mortem examination of the body. Given that Mohit's body was found discolored (blue), the family suggests he might have been given a poisonous substance.

Death During a Hotel Party

DCP Ashish Mishra stated that Mohit was partying with his friends in the same room. During the party, he suddenly fell unconscious. Hotel staff reached the spot and informed the police about the incident. The police immediately inspected the scene and collected all possible evidence from the room.

The Crime Branch and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team examined the equipment present in the hotel and the condition of the room. Initial inspection found no signs of violence in the room, but considering the deceased's discolored (blue) body, this case appears to be different from a natural death.

Deceased's Post-mortem and Investigation Ongoing

The police have recommended sending the body to a medical board for a post-mortem examination. The post-mortem will be conducted on Monday, and only then will the actual cause of death be revealed. DCP Mishra stated that it would be premature to reach any conclusion until the investigation is complete.

The police have started questioning CCTV footage from around the hotel, the deceased's friends, and other individuals present. The investigation team is working to ascertain what happened in the room at the time of the incident and whether anyone intentionally harmed Mohit.

Rising Cases of Suspicious Deaths in Delhi

Recently, a few other cases of suspicious deaths have also emerged in Delhi. A few days ago, 36-year-old Karan Dev died under suspicious circumstances due to electrocution at his home in Dwarka's Uttam Nagar police station area. The family had refused a post-mortem, but the police sent the body to a hospital in Hari Nagar for examination.

Experts believe that the increasing number of these suspicious deaths is a cause for concern and should be taken seriously. Delhi Police has clarified that no stone will be left unturned to uncover the truth behind Mohit Garg's death.
