Chhattisgarh to Build 100 New Bridges Under Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana

The central government has approved 100 new bridges for Chhattisgarh under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, at a cost of ₹375.71 crore. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has described this approval as a significant step towards development and inclusion and expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh has been sanctioned the construction of 100 new bridges under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, with a total cost of ₹375.71 crore. These bridges will have a combined length of 6,569.56 meters, and the approval has been granted under Batch-II of 2025-26. So far, the state has received a total of 715 roads and 100 bridges under this scheme, which will play an important role in improving rural connectivity.

Chief Minister Expresses Gratitude and Highlights the Importance of Development

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for this approval. He said that this initiative will be helpful in the empowerment of particularly vulnerable tribal groups. He described it not only as the construction of bridges and roads but as a new path of development, trust, and inclusion.

The Chief Minister said that this project will improve the quality of life in remote areas and ensure better connectivity to health, education, markets, and administration for the people. This effort is a significant step towards realizing the Prime Minister's goal of 'Developed India @2047,' which strives to connect every citizen with the mainstream of the country's development.

With this approval, the development and prosperity of rural areas of Chhattisgarh will gain further momentum, directly benefiting tribal and backward classes. The state government has also expressed its commitment to completing these projects in a timely manner, with quality and transparency.
