According to a circular issued by the Deputy Director of Elementary Education, C. Gavoury, the Director of School Education has formally approved this proposal. Under this, all district and regional school inspection officers have been instructed to prepare the design of the overcoat, send it to the school principals, and ask the female students to wear overcoats according to the prescribed design.
Which Students Will This Rule Apply To?
This order will apply to female students from class 6 to class 12 in all government schools of the state. This means that every female student studying in these classes will now be required to wear an overcoat along with the school uniform. However, this directive is not currently applicable to female students in private schools.
