CJP Plans Protest Against CEC Gyanesh Kumar as Delhi Deploys 23000 Security Personnel

Delhi has deployed around 23,000 security personnel ahead of the proposed CJP protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at Jantar Mantar. Party leaders have travelled from Mumbai to Delhi amid reported restrictions on the demonstration.

Police have tightened security arrangements in Delhi ahead of the proposed protest by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar at Jantar Mantar. Amid security restrictions, CJP leader Sourav Das has announced his participation in the demonstration, saying he would meet supporters at Jantar Mantar and its surrounding areas within a few hours.

Das described the protest as part of a prolonged struggle linked to democracy, a corruption-free system and the future of young people.

CJP leader Sourav Das shared a message for supporters on the social media platform X, describing the movement as a fight to reclaim the country and protect its democratic system. According to Das, the campaign aims to safeguard the future of younger generations and advance demands for a corruption-free system.

In his post, Das expressed pride in the younger generation and said the struggle would continue until changes were made to the system.

Police have reportedly not granted permission for the proposed demonstration. The restrictions have raised questions over whether protesters will be able to reach Jantar Mantar or whether security personnel will prevent them from gathering there and direct them to other locations.

CJP's activities related to the proposed demonstration have intensified. According to available information, party founder Abhijit Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and Sourav Das have left Mumbai for Delhi.

The party has also issued messages on social media regarding its campaign, claiming that the next phase, which it has called "Jantar Mantar 2.0", has begun.

CJP has targeted Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, raising allegations of irregularities in the electoral process and vote theft. The party has said it is seeking accountability over these issues. The allegations remain claims made by the party, and independent verification and responses from the parties concerned have not been provided in the available information.

Security arrangements across Delhi have been tightened in view of the proposed CJP protest. According to available details, around 23,000 security personnel have been deployed across the national capital.

Authorities are maintaining special surveillance in the New Delhi district and around Jantar Mantar. Barricades have been installed on major roads and access routes, while multiple layers of security barriers have reportedly been put in place around the protest site.

Vehicle checks are also being conducted in Delhi's border areas to monitor the movement of people travelling to participate in the demonstration.

Police are issuing public announcements to inform people about the restrictions in force. The administration's stated objective is to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents.
