According to data from the Meteorological Department, Banda district was recorded as the coldest following the drop in temperature. A notable decline in the minimum temperature was registered there. Due to cold winds and cloud cover, the difference between day and night temperatures has narrowed.
Western Disturbance Cited as Cause
Meteorologists stated that the activation of a western disturbance has led to cloud cover and light rainfall in several parts of the state. The impact is expected to continue for the next four days. During this period, b winds may also blow, further increasing the cold.

Rain and cold conditions have affected normal life. Movement of people on roads was observed to be lower during morning and evening hours. Markets also recorded lower footfall compared to normal days. For farmers, the weather is considered to have mixed effects.
