Twelve private schools in Noida (Gautam Buddh Nagar) received bomb threat emails, prompting immediate notification to the police and triggering citywide security alerts.
Security agencies launched intensive search operations at the affected schools after the threat emails warned of explosions within the school premises. Several schools evacuated students as a precaution and informed parents, while classes at some institutions were temporarily suspended.
Police, the Bomb Squad, and Dog Squad teams conducted thorough inspections of the school campuses. Classrooms, laboratories, bus parking areas, and surrounding premises were examined. No suspicious object has been confirmed at any school so far, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Officials stated that a similar threat email was received on 23 January. A comprehensive search operation was conducted at that time as well, but no explosive material was found. Authorities are examining whether the current email follows the same pattern.
The cyber cell has been tasked with tracing the email. Efforts are underway to determine the server from which it was sent and its location. Police said strict action will be taken against those attempting to spread rumours or create panic.
School administrations appealed to parents to maintain calm. Several parents gathered outside schools, where police managed the situation. Authorities stated that security remains the top priority and all necessary measures are being taken.
This is the second time schools in Noida have received such threats. Police said the situation is fully under control and advised the public not to pay attention to rumours. Security has been increased at all schools as investigating agencies continue to probe the matter.
