In Lucknow's Dalibagh area, keys to flats were handed over to 72 families under the Sardar Patel Awas Yojana. CM Yogi delivered a message of empowering the poor by implementing this scheme on land freed from mafia encroachment.
UP News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated flats built under the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Awas Yojana in Lucknow's Dalibagh area and handed over keys to 72 beneficiary families. These flats have been constructed on land freed from the illegal occupation of mafia Mukhtar Ansari.
Addressing the gathering from the stage, CM Yogi issued a strict warning to the mafias, stating that any land occupied by them would face the same fate. He clarified that in Uttar Pradesh, mafias encroaching on any poor person's land, public property, or government land will no longer be spared, and all illegal occupations will be freed.
CM Yogi Issues Stern Warning to Mafias
During the event, CM Yogi stated that the housing allocation program on land freed from a notorious mafia in Lucknow is not just an event, but a message. He said, "What we have done here and previously in Prayagraj conveys the message that mafias will no longer prevail. Every poor person will get their rights, and no exploitation will be tolerated." The CM also informed that LDA has made a flat available in a prime location for just Rs 10.70 lakh, whereas the market rate of this land is approximately one crore rupees.
Controlling Mafias Across the State

CM Yogi also stated that those who sympathize with mafias are now shooting themselves in the foot. These are the same mafias who previously intimidated governments through crime and threats. He said that these individuals incited caste conflicts and challenged law and order while in power. He clarified that law and order in Uttar Pradesh has now become a model, and mafias will not be allowed to cause any trouble.
Highlights of the Scheme
Under the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Residential Scheme, 72 flats have been constructed, each with an area of 36.65 square meters. The scheme features 3 blocks built in a ground-plus-three structure. The flats are equipped with clean water, electricity supply, security arrangements, and adequate parking for two-wheelers. Additionally, external development works such as roads and parks have also been constructed. The location of the scheme is highly prime, with Balu Adda, 1090 Chauraha, Narhi, Sikanderbagh, and Hazratganj Chauraha just five to ten minutes away.
Land Freed from Illegal Occupation
LDA VC Prathmesh Kumar stated that under Chief Minister Yogi's zero-tolerance policy, a campaign was launched across the state to clear illegal land occupied by mafias. In this sequence, land was freed from the occupation of mafia Mukhtar in Dalibagh, a posh area of Hazratganj. Subsequently, flats were constructed for the economically weaker sections. This scheme has been implemented on 2,322 square meters of land in Dalibagh.
